Very nice saddle. Great quality. My only concern is the padding on upper and lower webbing makes it have more intense pressure in those areas. Might be my body type or just needs broke in. Overall I'm happy with it. Great purchase
I’ve only worn this saddle so far while scouting in 100 degree days in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri and it felt great with my Kifaru frame pack around my waste. The main thing that attracted me to this saddle was that ability to not feel the saddle as I have my backpack waste belt on at the same time. The lineman’s rope with kong duck and carabiner fit in the elastic pouch, as well as the same for my tether, Kong duck, and caribiner in the opposite pouch. The saddle also ventilated great as I was hiking around in those temps. As far as my MOLLE strap and hero clips that I use to hang my bow and pack above my platform, those will store in a side pouch that is attached to my backpack waste belt.
Without having hung in this for an all day hunt yet, this saddle checks all of the boxes for me with respect to mobility and comfort while hiking in. Which I feel is an overlooked aspect in many saddle design/ review videos. They talk about comfort in the tree which is important of course, but what about the guys that wear a frame pack because they’re hiking two-plus miles in, and you have the waste belt constantly pushing down on your saddle bags?
Great job on this design.
Love the new Ronin! No more pouches needed with the new stretch pockets and the mesh seat helps with air flow when walking in while wearing it as well as while up a tree.
I have only used it twice but so far so good. I am excited to put it to work this fall. The tacky bridge is awesome and the built in pockets are what sold me on it (I wish they were a bit wider, but they still work great). The design and construction are clearly top notch. I’m a fan.
